Saturday, October 24, 2009, 8 PM: Come early to the theatre and celebrate Worldfest with us! Your ticket purchase will allow you free admission to Worldfest! The entire Addison Conference and Theatre Center is converted into a multicultural fair full of exhibits from all over the globe. You must present your email confirmation at the gate in order to gain access to the fair and to our theatre. We also have special parking near the theatre at the corner of Addison Road and Addison Circle drive; be sure to present your email confirmation to the parking attendant. Saturday, October 31, 2009, 8 PM: Celebrate HALLOWEEN with us! Our Halloween show has become one of the most popular theatre events in the DFW area. All our patrons that night receive a "goodie bag" full of candies, treats, discounts and/or free tickets to other theatres, shows, events. We also encourage you to come in costume (just be sure that yor wig or head dress doesn't block the person sitting behind you!) The cast at the end of the evening will vote on the best costumed audience member and a prize is awarded. Dia de los Muertos, aka Day of the Dead, is one of the most celebrated holidays by the Nahuatl indians in Mexico. After the performance we stay honor the tradition of this unique holiday. After the show, Mark-Brian Sonna, our Artistic Director who was raised in rural central Mexico in the heart of the Nauhatl region, will provide a short lecture about the customs, rituals, and share humorous perona anecdotes which will make you appreciate this unque social custom even more. You will also get to sample traditional foods such as Pan de Muerto and the Aztec beveage Atole. When we did our first "Day of the Dead" show last year, it was a near sell out.
